Rich and full-bodied, Oloroso casks impart deep flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices. Typically, Oloroso Sherry has an alcohol content of around 17-20% ABV and exhibits a dark amber to mahogany color. These barrels are ideal for maturing whisky or other spirits, adding complexity with their long aging process without the presence of flor.
